East Fremantle is buzzing with excitement following the official opening of the new East Fremantle Community Park (EFCP), a state-of-the-art facility designed to bring people of all ages together. The park, which features B Active Health Club and Carnaby’s Bar & Restaurant, was officially opened by Premier Roger Cook in front of more than 1,500 community members on Saturday 1 February.
“The opening day was a huge success, filled with live music from Almost Acoustic, free kids activities, sports demonstrations and an array of food trucks offering delicious bites,” explained Glen Mcculloch, EFCP Venue Manager.

Families and friends came together to enjoy bowls, croquet and football games with the East Fremantle Football Club, while the East Freo Playgroup provided a warm and welcoming space for the little ones. Skateboarding, basketball and face painting added to the atmosphere, ensuring something for everyone to enjoy.

“This park offers something for everyone, it’s a truly multi-generational facility,” said Mayor Jim O’Neill.
“Seeing kids running around, people trying out different sports and the community coming together in this beautiful space was fantastic. It’s a place that brings people together, with sustainability at its core.”
McCulloch highlighted the park’s potential as a dynamic community hub. “The event showcased how this space can be activated for future events, making it a central gathering place for East Fremantle,” he said.
The East Fremantle Community Park is set to become the community’s beating heart, offering a vibrant mix of health, recreation and social spaces. A collaborative effort between the Town of East Fremantle, Belgravia Leisure and local stakeholders, the project has been praised for its vision of fostering community spirit and sustainability.

With its world-class amenities, lush green spaces and exciting event potential, the new East Fremantle Community Park is ready to become a beloved fixture in the community for years to come.
