The holiday park industry is rapidly evolving. Guests expect more than a place to pitch their tent – they want experiences that are seamless, sustainable and memorable. As the Head of Leased Parks at Belgravia Pro (Bpro – a division of Belgravia Leisure), I’m proud to be part of a sector undergoing a remarkable transformation. Once seen as slow to change, the holiday parks industry is now becoming a vibrant and innovative space. At Bpro, I’m fortunate to lead a team that shares my passion for redefining what’s possible – creating meaningful guest experiences, developing environmentally responsible destinations and driving scalable growth through smart technology and operational excellence.
And this approach is paying off, with Bpro parks across the country going from strength to strength by taking home a variety of esteemed awards. Recently, Blackheath Glen Tourist Park took home the Outstanding Accommodation Provider award at the Local Business Awards in the Blue Mountains, and Ocean Beach Tourist Park in Queensland was crowned Australia’s favourite caravan park at the 2025 Caravan Industry Awards.
Just a couple of weeks ago, First Sun Holiday Park in Byron Bay also won Gold in the Caravan & Tourist Park category at the Regional NSW Tourism Awards. These awards don’t just happen by accident and I’m proud that our parks are shining brighter than ever before as we move towards rolling out a new map for the journey ahead.
The guest journey
At the heart of everything Bpro does is the guest journey. From the moment a booking is made to the final farewell, our goal is that every interaction is seamless, personalised and memorable.
Leaning into this ethos, Belgravia Pro are currently rolling out brand new websites which will play a huge role in the awareness, look and book stages of the guest journey thanks to a much smoother and user-friendly booking experience.
It’s the little things that count. At Creswick Holiday Park in Victoria for example, the park’s Global Review Index (GRI – the industry’s leading standard for measuring guest satisfaction) is up 12% thanks to improved check-in processes through our reservations team and top-notch guest communication.
For the team at Moore Park Beach Holiday Park, guest feedback isn’t just about the reviews, it’s about building a thriving community. This approach has helped the park secure a place in Caravan Parks Association Queensland’s Top Five Most Improved Global Review Index (GRI) scores for 2024, an acknowledgment based entirely on real opinions from guests.
Immersive experiences
Bpro’s strategy also focuses on creating immersive experiences that create a sense of belonging and adventure – something that guests carry with them long after their stay.
Blending tradition with innovation, plans are in place to include wellness programs, nature-based workshops and community events that foster connection and relaxation. Already we are seeing the community event initiatives roll out, with Kipara Tropical Rainforest Retreat in Queensland holding hugely popular quarterly thrift markets.
Sustainability
With travellers seeking authentic, eco-conscious experiences, the demand for sustainable holiday parks has never been higher. Sustainability is a cornerstone of the Bpro model, with parks encouraged to adopt renewable energy solutions, reduce waste and integrate eco-conscious design into their infrastructure. This not only appeals to environmentally aware travellers but also drives operational efficiency and long-term cost savings.
Brpo’s commitment to sustainability ultimately ensures that each park contributes positively to its local environment and community. Again, it’s the little things that make a big difference; in an effort to help reserve the natural beauty and ecological health of their region, Suffolk Beachfront Holiday Park in northern NSW recently overhauled their rubbish and recycling system after identifying an excessive use of disposable plastic bags at the park.
Innovation through technology
To support the growth of the network, Bpro is harnessing the power of AI and data-driven decision-making to allow our support teams and park managers to anticipate demand, reduce downtime and focus on delivering exceptional service.
Intelligent systems are being deployed to optimise pricing, streamline maintenance and enhance guest feedback loops. AI is also playing a key role in identifying growth corridors and guiding strategic expansion, ensuring new parks meet both guest expectations and sustainability benchmarks.
Belgravia Pro plays a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life. With its operational infrastructure, marketing expertise and commitment to innovation, Bpro supports park managers in delivering consistent, high-quality experiences. Strategic workshops and planning sessions have laid the groundwork for FY26, with goals to position Bpro as the preferred park partner for councils and owner-operators.
