New to the industry or thinking about becoming an instructor?
We will help you thrive in your new role, from guiding you through your training to offering ongoing mentorship once you are certified and teaching your own classes.
Not sure if Group Exercise Instructor is for you? Come along to our masterclass audition sessions where you will meet other like-minded people who love group fitness but have no experience teaching. Our coaches will run a class, taking you through the requirements of an instructor, giving you the chance to jump on stage and give it a try!
How do GX Auditions work?
We have several audition days and locations across Victoria in May. Come along to your nearest location to show us what you’ve got or just give it a try!
Two audition* types are available:
- Masterclass – for those who are not yet qualified but feel leading group exercise classes is their calling!
- Audition – for our seasoned GX instructors. You will have 2-3 minutes on our stage to lead the group and bring your A-game.
*Depending on your location, you may be required to submit a virtual audition or attend a virtual masterclass. Complete the expression of interest form for more information. Virtual submissions are due by Sunday May 14, 2023.

(Auditioning for sites Yarra Centre, Monbulk Aquatic Centre)
- Mill Park Leisure | Sunday May 7th
(Auditioning for sites Keilor East Leisure Centre, Ascot Vale Leisure Centre, TRAC – Thomastown, WaterMarc) - Splash! Devonport (TAS) | Sunday 7th May
- Yawa Aquatic Centre | Friday May 12th
(Auditioning for sites Pelican Park Recreation Centre, Somerville Recreation Centre, Civic Reserve Recreation Centre)
