Who knew fiddles and firepits could fill a caravan park? Creswick Holiday Park was buzzing during this year’s CresFest, with nearly every cabin, site and studio filled across the festival weekend. Thanks to a new partnership with the popular folk music event, the park hit a standout 95.69% occupancy, up from just 78% the previous year.
With festival-goers flocking to town for three days of toe-tapping tunes and community spirit, the park proved to be the perfect home base, just a short stroll from all the action in town.

The boost followed a collaboration with CresFest organisers, positioning the park as an official accommodation partner. An early bird promo offered discounted rates exclusively to ticket holders last spring, helping drive early bookings and overnight visitation.

To help capture the spirit of the event, park staff created a welcoming communal firepit space, strung with fairy lights and perfect for post-festival jam sessions. The team also donated a three-night stay in a brand-new studio cabin as a raffle prize, adding extra sparkle to the weekend.
“The guests were an easygoing group,” said Park Manager Tammie Fisher. “A few enjoyed the fire pit, but most were off dancing the night away.”
The success of the partnership highlights the value of aligning local tourism operators with community-led cultural events. Tammie says bookings are already rolling in for next year!
