Belgravia Leisure is excited to be working in partnership with the Goyder Council to operate the Burra and Eudunda Swimming Pools with a start date yet to be confirmed.

Expression of Interest (EOI) portal
To submit your EOI for employment at Burra and Eudunda Swimming Pools under Belgravia Leisure click the button below. Once you have submitted your EOI please keep an eye on your email (including your junk/spam folders) for further instructions from Belgravia Leisure.
Any existing staff who do not lodge an EOI will be considered as not wishing to join Belgravia Leisure as an employee and will not form part of Belgravia Leisure’s staff selection process.

What does appointment of Belgravia Leisure as managers of Burra and Eudunda Swimming Pools mean to me?
Soon (date TBC), Belgravia Leisure will be the new operator of the Burra and Eudunda Swimming Pools. The centre will continue to offer the majority of programs that has been run, and all current staff will continue with their current employment if they chose.
Once Belgravia Leisure commences management of the Burra and Eudunda Swimming Pools, small changes will be made from Council’s branding of programs to other branding. However, we anticipate that there will be minimal changes to the content of programs.
The swimming lesson program will transfer to the Swimming Australia GOswim program.
What will happen to my job?
While Belgravia Leisure manages its operations differently to Council, we expect that most staff will be re-employed into the same or a similar role with Belgravia Leisure. All staff are encouraged to apply for roles with Belgravia Leisure, commencing with the expression of interest due by 25th October 2023.
What is the recruitment process?
- Expression of Interest (EOI)
Individuals wishing to apply for any position at Burra and Eudunda Swimming Pools with Belgravia Leisure must complete an expression of interest by clicking the Expressions of Interest button on the top of this page. This can be completed on mobile, desktop, laptop or tablet.
What will I be asked in the EOI?
- Your name and contact details.
- Your current primary position and any other position you’re trained to perform.
- The current qualifications you hold (you will be required to supply copies at interview).
All staff members should lodge their expression of interest for a position with Belgravia Leisure. Any staff who do not lodge an expression of interest will be considered as not wishing to join Belgravia Leisure as an employee and will not form part of Belgravia Leisure’s staff employment process.
- Communication
Individuals who have completed an EOI by the due date will receive communication further information to join the team at Burra or Eudunda Swimming Pools.
It will cover:
- Your availability to work (flexibility will be viewed favourably).
- List of roles you have held for up to the last 3 years.
You’ll be relieved to know that we do not ask for CV/resumes or covering letters for roles in the general listing.
- Outcomes
Individuals will be notified of the outcomes via email. Successful candidates will be offered positions subject to meeting mandatory qualification requirements and pre-employment screening which includes identification documents, national police check (last 30 days) and current working with children check.
- Onboarding
Individuals will then receive an email invitation to complete the online onboarding. This includes electronically signing your employment agreement as well as reviewing and acknowledging core policies.
What do I need to complete onboarding:
- Your bank account details
- Your tax file number
- Your superannuation details
- Your emergency contact details
- All qualifications
In accordance with our recruitment and selection policy, all recruitment at Belgravia Leisure is subject to appropriate vetting of each applicant’s skills and personal qualities and on the provision that staff hold current qualifications for the roles they perform.
Do I need to submit an expression of interest for employment at Burra or Eudunda Swimming Pools if I am a current Belgravia Leisure employee at another facility?
Yes, even if you are a current Belgravia Leisure staff member you will need to submit your expression of interest for employment at Burra or Eudunda Swimming Pools. Though you may not need to do the complete full onboarding process. This will be communicated with the relevant staff.
Do I need to supply any documents? (does not apply to current Belgravia Leisure employees)
To be considered for a position we must confirm your working rights in Australia, to do this you must supply one of the following:
- Copy of a current Passport photo page OR;
- Copy of your birth certificate & current photo ID (if your name is different on your birth certificate to your photo ID, we also need a copy of your marriage or change of name certificate)

Does Belgravia Leisure have its own conditions for employment of staff?
Yes, we do. All staff must provide evidence of a current Police Check prior to commencing employment with Belgravia Leisure. This check must not be dated more than 30 days prior to employment commencement to ensure our requirement that the Police Check be undertaken within 30 days of commencing as an employee of Belgravia Leisure.
We also require all staff to hold a current Working with Children’s Check.
In addition, Belgravia Leisure team members must hold current First Aid and CPR qualifications as well as the essential qualifications and/or certificates that apply to the role/s they will be undertaking as listed in the next section.
What is Belgravia Leisure’s pay cycle?
Belgravia Leisure has a fortnightly pay-cycle and your pay is transferred electronically to the personal bank account that you nominate during your onboarding process. You will receive your payslip via the email you supply during this process as well.
From when will I be paid by Belgravia Leisure?
Belgravia Leisure will pay your wages or salary effective from the transition start date (TBC). You will be back-paid for any training hours that you complete with Belgravia Leisure prior to the contract start date.
Will I keep my current rate of pay?
As you will be a new employee of Belgravia Leisure, you will be issued with a new employment contract that will reference the Fitness Industry Award 2020 as the industrial instrument that governs your terms and conditions of employment. Your pay rate will be as per the Fitness Industry Award.
Will I have to sign a new contract of employment with Belgravia Leisure?
Yes. To become an employee of Belgravia Leisure you will have to sign a new Employment Agreement. This Employment Agreement will make reference to the Fitness Industry Award 2020 that will govern the conditions of your employment with Belgravia Leisure.
Does Belgravia Leisure offer opportunities to work in other sites it manages?
You may choose to apply for career development opportunities that become available from time to time at other Belgravia Leisure facilities in SA, other states and overseas.
