An exciting chapter awaits for Peyton Daniels, Community Engagement Coordinator and Clancy Cvetko, Duty Manager at Summit Aquatic and Leisure Centre who have been selected to take part in the inaugural Youth SAAIL Group Emerging Aquatic Leaders program, joining over 15 young professionals from across South Australia.
The program, delivered by the South Australian Aquatic Industry Leaders (SAAIL) and funded by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing’s Sector Success Program, brings together a diverse cohort of young professionals and volunteers from across metropolitan and regional South Australia.
Belgravia Leisure is a proud member of SAAIL, working alongside industry partners to support the growth, development and sustainability of South Australia’s aquatic sector.

Opening new doors in the aquatics industry
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity and excited to keep learning, growing and making a difference for the people and communities I work with,” said Peyton.
“Every role I’ve had has helped shape the way I see leadership, community and the impact we can have on people’s lives. Being selected for the Youth SAAIL Program feels like another step on that journey.”
For Clancy, the mentoring and professional development sessions are just some of the incredible experiences he is looking forward to.
“I’m excited to connect with other like-minded young people across the state, grow and return to aquatics with new knowledge and skills to give back to the community.”
About the Youth SAAIL Group’s Emerging Aquatic Leaders program
Alongside participants from swim schools, aquatic and leisure venues, surf lifesaving clubs, sporting organisations and local government, Peyton and Clancy will undertake a 12-month leadership journey focused on developing governance, communication and leadership capabilities while helping shape the future of South Australia’s aquatic industry.
Throughout the program, they will engage in boardroom-style leadership sessions, mentoring opportunities, behavioural profiling, industry networking and professional development.
They will also work collaboratively to deliver a youth-led session at the 2027 South Australian Aquatics Conference and Awards and contribute to a statewide Youth Workforce Insights Report.
The impact of the Emerging Aquatic Leaders program
Aaron Tuckfield, Surf Life Saving South Australia (SLSSA) Head of Community and Aquatic Programs, noted:
“The Youth SAAIL Group represents an exciting investment in the future of our industry. Over 15 participants have already demonstrated exceptional commitment within their organisations, and this program will equip them with the leadership skills, industry knowledge and professional networks to become the next generation of aquatic leaders in South Australia.”
By investing in emerging leaders, the program aims to strengthen workforce retention, create meaningful leadership pathways and ensure young voices help shape the future direction of the aquatic industry.
