With cancer touching the lives of so many Australians, the community rallied together at Yarrambat Park Golf Course for the Team Kill Cancer (TKC) Family Fun Day, raising more than $43,000 to support local people and families affected by cancer.
Hosted in partnership with TKC, the event brought together families, volunteers, local musicians and supporters for a day of live music, Harley rides, mini golf, a petting zoo, food and fundraising, creating a memorable day centred around community and a cause close to so many hearts.
Community Inclusion and Event Officer, Ali Berechree, said the event was a huge success and a testament to the incredible impact that can be made when a community comes together.
“The TKC Family Fun Day was a great reminder of what our community is all about. To see over $43,000 raised is something we’re proud to have been part of.
“This life-changing result wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of the TKC organisers, volunteers, musicians and every single person who attended, donated or supported the day in some way.”

Community feedback following the event reflected the strong connection felt throughout the day, with attendees already looking ahead to next year’s event.
“What a fantastic venue to host this awesome event. Will be back next year,” one community member shared online following the day.
“Moments like this remind us that Yarrambat Park Golf Course has never just been about golf. It’s about bringing people together, supporting one another and creating meaningful community connections,” Ali concluded.
