The Grass Lands, located by Yan Yean Road in Yarrambat, has continued to grow and flourish with family friendly community catering for a variety of events – and is now hosting over 10,000 visits a month (up by 38% since 2023) and 150 functions a year.
The venue has seen strong growth since opening in 2021, with building upgrades, a focused approach on community activations and a welcoming atmosphere all ensuring The Grass Lands has established itself as a popular community hub.
Matt Weisheit, Venue Manager at The Grass Lands said:
“It’s been great to see our commercial growth reflect the increased visitation we have worked hard for over the past few years, with our sales nearly doubling in that time.
“The functions we host range from fundraisers, weddings, engagement parties, baby showers, celebration of life, adult birthday parties, social sport group events and goanna golf parties. The flexibility and scope to cater for a diverse range of events has generated a lot of interest and activations in the community.”
Inside the newly redeveloped bar and function area, the indoor space flows out onto the outdoor beer garden. Outside, plenty of seating, festoon lighting and an extended deck and infinity bar take advantage of the great views and sunset for guests.
Matt continued: “We love functions because it allows us to connect with community and help them unwind in a welcoming and inviting location. We get a lot of positive feedback on the environment we’ve created here.”
“Our Friday Fun nights with live music, events for local schools and sporting clubs have opened up our audience and attracted many new patrons and our friendly cafe and bar team members offer a warm welcome to patrons from all walks of life.”
The beer garden is the place to relax with a craft beer in hand, overlooking the beautifully striped 18th fairway of the championship golf course and the Goanna Golf mini course.
