In late 2025, a group of Belgravia leaders from across Australia and New Zealand stepped away from their day-to-day roles and into four days of reflection, challenges and connection at the Belgravia Leadership College (BLC).
BLC places a strong emphasis on emotional intelligence and self-awareness, recognising that leadership starts with understanding yourself before leading others.

The experience prompted deep reflection for many leaders. Microsoft Solutions Manager Bella Kaur described BLC as a transformational four-day experience that reshaped how she saw her leadership and her connection to others. Reflecting on the time spent learning alongside peers, she shared that “without connection, growth becomes limited; creativity becomes constrained; and the opportunity to share knowledge and experience becomes smaller.”

Sessions also explored the principles of Tribal Leadership, focusing on how culture is built through trust, shared language and collective responsibility.
Venue Manager at Higher State, Timothy Debono (pictured far left) said the program reinforced that “culture isn’t a buzzword, it’s the foundation of performance,” highlighting the importance of leaning on the strengths of the team rather than leading in isolation.
Program host Mark Maybury Group Manager of People and Culture, said the experience is designed to challenge leaders while giving them practical tools they can take back to their teams.
“The Belgravia Leadership College experience immerses leaders in real conversations about who they are and how they lead. It builds confidence, resilience and a deeper understanding of how to lead people through connection, not control.”
Program host Cherie Mills said one of the most powerful aspects of BLC is watching relationships form across different roles, locations and departments.
“Bringing our leaders together for this experience is incredibly valuable. Seeing them support one another, learn together and build genuine connections is not always easy for them but is what makes the program so impactful.”
Upon the program’s conclusion, participants said they left with stronger relationships, a deeper sense of belonging and a clearer understanding of the role they play in shaping culture every day. Many described leaving not only more confident in their leadership, but more connected to the people and purpose behind it.
