Meet Michelle Kennard, our Venue Manager at Onaero Bay Holiday Park in NZ

Michelle Kennard has been a valued member of our Belgravia Leisure family since January, 2020.

Michelle explained how she used to camp at Onaero with her parents and grandparents, “Onaero means a lot to me, and watching Belgravia Leisure build Onaero up and seeing it come alive has been so special.”

“Over the past 11 months I’ve been with Belgravia Leisure, we’ve been impacted by the global pandemic and lockdowns here in New Zealand. It’s been really hard for us to be put into a situation where you have little to no control over what tomorrow will bring. However, we have certainly grown and learnt a lot, and I am a slow learner sometimes! It’s allowed us to take a step back and learn to go with the flow because you simply cannot control everything.”

What is your favourite thing about your career?

“Being apart of the Belgravia Leisure team is definitely my favourite thing about my career. Belgravia Leisure has lots of support and is great at keeping staff informed about what’s happening within the company. You really do feel apart of the Belgravia family,” Michelle explains.

Where do you see yourself in the next 3-5 years?

“I see myself still at Onaero Bay Holiday Park while continuing to progress my career and work my way up the ladder with Belgravia Leisure.”

What are 3 things you’re most passionate about in life and why?

1. Family, because without the support of my partner and family I wouldn’t be where I am today.
2. Health, because to have a good life you need good health.
3. Motorsport, because I am a petrol head and used to race offroaders and now I am part of the exec for the national body, that keeps busy and gives me an interest outside of the camp.
