Ash Hobson, Belgravia Pro’s Tourism Marketing Executive, is making her mark on the future of the tourism and parks industry, with two standout achievements that shine a light on her blossoming leadership skills.
Not only was Ash nominated for the Young Achiever Award at the prestigious G’day25 Awards – presented during the Gala Dinner at the G’day Parks Annual Conference in Adelaide – but she has also been elected as a committee member for the Young Tourism Network (YTN).
A G’day Parks Young Achiever Nominee
The accolade celebrates excellence in youth creativity and innovation, and for Ash, being recognised among the industry’s brightest young talents was an incredible honour. The nomination – submitted by her colleagues – came as a complete surprise.
“I was shocked and elated to find out I’d been nominated: it’s rewarding to know that my passion for our parks and the industry is being recognised by my peers,” Ash said.
The G’day Parks Annual Conference is a cornerstone event for the network, bringing together park professionals from across Australia to connect with big names and hear from leading voices in tourism. This year’s event was held at Morphettville Racecourse in Adelaide, with the Gala Dinner held at the Stamford Grand Hotel Ballroom.

Driving the future of tourism and parks
Ash’s election as a committee member for the YTN – a not-for-profit organisation that partners with the Victorian Tourism Industry Council to provide professional development, networking and career pathways for young people in tourism – is a big step forward in her leadership journey.
With 12 nominations for just six positions, Ash secured her spot through a peer vote, joining the committee for a two-year term. YTN runs seven events annually and delivers two flagship programs, the Trusted Advisor Program and the Tourism Ambassador Program, both designed to empower emerging leaders in the industry.
Next year marks YTN’s 20th anniversary and Ash is excited to help shape its future.
“My passion is for creating opportunities for young professionals in Tourism and I’m determined to contribute to a stronger, more connected tourism community,” she commented.

Ash’s national impact
From being recognised at a national level to stepping into a leadership role with YTN, Ash is proving that commitment and creativity have opened doors in tourism.
Congratulations Ash on your work, shaping the future of the Tourism and Parks sector for the better.
