Michael Wenden Aquatic Leisure Centre celebrates 50th Birthday

On February 19, the team at Michael Wenden Aquatic Leisure Centre and Liverpool Council hosted a free family fun day to celebrate Michael Wenden Aquatic Leisure Centre’s 50th Birthday.

The family fun day included a free barbecue lunch, jumping castle, rides, face painting, petting zoo, food trucks and more!

The centre has a health club, group fitness classes, two court multi-purpose sports stadium, a seasonal heated 50-metre outdoor swimming pool, a 12.5m indoor heated program and hydrotherapy pool and splash park. They also do learn to swim classes, school carnivals and women’s-only programs.

Michael Wenden Aquatic Leisure Centre has something for the whole family to enjoy, whether you want to relax, play or work on your overall health and wellbeing.

Belgravia Leisure’s Area Manager, Scott Vanderheyden said, “We celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Michael Wenden Aquatic Leisure Centre with Liverpool City Council and the community. We are very proud of our team for pulling together this amazing event and continuing to deliver leisure to the Liverpool community. It was great to see the community come together to enjoy a family fun day at Michael Wenden Aquatic Leisure Centre for such an incredible milestone.
