International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia at Yarrambat Park Golf Course

On May 17, the team at Yarrambat Park Golf Course raised awareness for International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. Belgravia Leisure prides itself on being inclusive of everyone and proudly welcomes, supports and includes all people into our venues, programs, services and employment.

As rainbow cupcakes were served and a celebration of pride filled Yarrambat Park Golf Course, conversations about IDAHOBIT were front and centre as questions were asked about the day and what it means to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Community Inclusion Officer, Ali Berechree said, “Bringing together important awareness days such as IDAHOBIT is a privilege for the team at Yarrambat. Awareness of causes such as this is an integral part of being a community leader. We love to encourage people to get behind these important days and bring awareness to important issues.

“Sharing these types of events with our community, and particularly people who wouldn’t ordinarily be aware of these days is a great way to bring awareness to the cause. We are so lucky to be surrounded by such accepting and kind people who make celebrate awareness days such as IDAHOBIT. It makes us all so proud to be part of the Belgravia Leisure team.”

The ethos of Belgravia Leisure is welcoming, supporting and including all. Belgravia Leisure strives to ensure that no one misses out on participation in leisure and sport in Australia and New Zealand, including the LGBTIQA+ community.
