At Belgravia Leisure, we are passionate about connecting communities to leisure and promoting inclusiveness and diversity. We believe in the power of sport, recreation, aquatics and fitness to bring people together and promote a sense of belonging.

We are proud to support Harmony Week, held from Monday 20th, to Sunday the 26th of March 2023. The annual celebration recognises cultural diversity and promotes inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for all.

Harmony Week is an opportunity for people from all backgrounds to come together and celebrate their differences. It is a time to recognise the unique cultural contributions that each person brings to our community and to embrace the diversity that makes our nation so special.

Belgravia Leisure’s National Disability and Diversity Manager, Jeff Walkley, said, “As a leisure management provider, we are committed to creating inclusive and accessible spaces that welcome people of all abilities, cultures, and backgrounds. Our aim is to provide equal opportunities for all Australians to access our services and facilities, regardless of their ability, financial capacity, cultural background, or stage of life.”

“We recognise the importance of promoting diversity and inclusiveness in all aspects of our work. From our staff training programs to the way we manage facilities and how we design and offer programs, we are committed to creating environments that are welcoming, safe, and inclusive for everyone,” Jeff explained.

As part of our commitment to supporting Harmony Week, we encourage all our staff, members, and communities to get involved in the celebrations. Whether you wear orange to show your support or attend/host a Harmony Week event, we hope you will join us in promoting inclusiveness and diversity in our communities.

At Belgravia Leisure, we believe that diversity and inclusiveness are fundamental to building strong and vibrant communities. We are proud to support Harmony Week 2023 and look forward to continuing to promote inclusiveness and diversity in all aspects of our work.
