Canberra, get ready for the Move It Canberra Challenge!

On Saturday, 23rd March, we are calling on all Canberrans to find at least 30 minutes of exercise to reach a collective goal of 10,000 active minutes!

Get involved at Stromlo Leisure Centre, Gungahlin Leisure Centre or Lakeside Leisure Centre with over 20 free sessions for everyone from kids to adults or move it your way in the pool or gym. You can move it by participating in your favourite activity, or we encourage you to try something new – you never know, you may even find your ‘thing’.

Whether you choose to jump, squat, stretch or make a splash, there is something for everyone to get moving. You can choose from one of our sessions or simply come along during the Move It Canberra Challenge opening times to gain free entry to use our gyms or pools and find your 30 minutes of activity.

And the best part?

Upon achieving the goal of 10,000 active minutes across the three venues operated by Belgravia Leisure, we will donate $10,000 via Belgravia Foundation to support improved access and participation in swimming, aquatic activities and water safety among the underrepresented communities of ACT. Not a bad incentive to get moving, right?

The Move It Canberra Challenge is a key part of the Move It Canberra campaign, a Belgravia Leisure led initiative that will run throughout March and April with a clear message: Canberra needs to ‘Move It’ at least 30 minutes every day to support their ongoing physical and mental health.

FREE entry opening times on Saturday 23rd March:

  • Stromlo Leisure Centre: 7am – 10:30am
  • Gungahlin Leisure Centre: 10am – 2pm
  • Lakeside Leisure Centre: 9am – 1pm

To ensure you don’t miss out, secure your spot in sessions ahead of time: www.moveitcanberra.com.au/canberra-challenge-event
