Aqua Natal launched at Tobruk Memorial Pool

The aquatic team at Tobruk Memorial Pool in Cairns identified a gap in the local market for water-based activities for expecting and new mothers. The hot tropical climate in far north Queensland makes Tobruk Memorial Pool the ideal centre to offer this highly anticipated program.

Led by a qualified fitness instructor, Aqua Natal helps to work important core muscles in preparation for birth and strengthen specific areas for women after birth, in a low impact water environment. It is also provides a great opportunity for women to make social connections while receiving pre and post birth education.

Aqua Natal participants transition into Tobruk’s Splish Splash program, an aquatic play group for mums and bubs, with their children continuing into the Swimming and Water Safety program.
